KidsCare has been Restored!

Governor Doug Ducey signed SB 1457, restoring KidsCare coverage to children in households between 133% and 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
KidsCare Coverage Restored

Enrollment for KidsCare was frozen in January of 2010 during the budget crisis.  Earlier this month, Governor Doug Ducey signed SB 1457, finally restoring the coverage to children in households between 133% and 200% of the Federal Poverty Limit (FPL).  Families will be able to apply for KidsCare starting July 26, 2016 and coverage for eligible children will begin on September 1, 2016.

It is estimated that approximately 30,000 Arizona children will be eligible for coverage under KidsCare.  Parents insuring their children will pay a monthly premium for this coverage, depending on their household income.  Monthly premiums are estimated to be between $10 and $70 depending on how many children are in the household and the income of the family.

To apply for KidsCare, on or after July 26, 2016,
